THello Art and Play Day Camp Parent crew! I’m very excited at the opportunity to host your kids for Art and Play Day Camp Half-Day Friday 12/20!
For this half-day camp, I will pick up the kicks at noon on 12/20 and we will walk up to Dolores Park to eat lunch (BYO) and play in the park. Then at 1:30, we will return to my art studio for art creation time. If your child needs extended care until 5:30, we will return outdoors for an afternoon recess and finish the day in my studio again. As you may know, my art practice is a CHOICE studio, focusing on creative process and experimentation rather than physical product. All my activity plans are “invitations” and students are welcome to lead their own projects of choice as well. I often over-plan but then leave LOTS of room for flexibility and following each students’ bliss.

FALL AFTER-SCHOOL KID ART WORKSHOPS

This fall/winter, I am offering after-school art classes for kids in my Dolores Park open-air garage art studio! Art classes will begin on September 17th and continue through December 20th. I pick up the kids at CDS at 3:45 and walk them one block to my art studio at 416 Dolores Street, next to Mission High School Parking Lot.
WEDNESDAYS Art/Play Class • 4-5:30pm • 3-10 yr olds • 1/8- 3/5 [FULL]
MONDAYS Art/Play Class • 4-5:30pm • 3-10 yr olds • 1/13- 3/3
Holiday Glitter Ball and Clay Ornament Making, Penguin Art and Snowman Stuffies:
Thursday 12/12, Friday 12/13, Monday 12/16, Thursday 12/19 • 4-5:30pm • (Must have minimum 4 students enrolled to host class)
Every art class, we’ll have fun exploring new art styles and projects, using tools and techniques like watercolor, oil pastel, acrylic, clay and other sculptural elements. Each class will feature clay pottery wheels, painting, a broken-toy tinkering station, weaving, cardboard construction zone, and new project invitations each week. ALL SUPPLIES INCLUDED (and a small snack)
